He Shen (1750-1799), originally named Shanbao, was a notorious corrupt official of the Qing Dynasty.

As a member of the Manchu Plain Red Banner, he was once promoted into the Plain Yellow Banner. However, when he was deemed guilty, he was reduced to the Plain Red Banner together with his family members.

A favorite of Emperor Qianlong, he was promoted time and again to key positions in the court.

Secure of the Emperor's favor and approbation, He Shen enjoyed almost complete freedom of his actions. He became openly corrupt and perverted the law. Afterward, Emperor Jiaqing confiscated all his property. He strangled himself to death in the end.
