In accordance with the position, the Yuan Court divided the streets in the Capital City into 50 precincts. The streets were orderly planned with clear graticules. There were avenues connecting the opposite city gates. The layout of the city streets has laid a basic pattern for today’s Beijing. The territory of the Yuan Dynasty was very large.
