At the early Western Zhou Dynasty, there were three virtuous females credited as "Three Mothers of the Zhou Family", which were Emperor Wen's grandmother, mother, and concubine, whose names were respectivelyl Taijiang, Tairen and Taisi. They assisted their respective husband to start their career and rear the children, who later became virtuous emperors in Chinese history. |
